A GOOD ROGERING fuses the heavy-hitting rock of bands like Megadeth, Black Label Society, and Mastodon with the dynamic prowess and eclecticism of those such as Faith No More, Type O Negative, and Clutch. The Austin-based quintet has released three albums, an EP, and a handful of singles to date.
With the release of their debut album Long Overdue in 2010, A GOOD ROGERING unloaded their hard, heavy, and uninhibited brand of eclectic rock into the back-allies of the Live Music Capital of the World. Led by vocalist/guitarist/songwriter Skunk Manhattan, the quartet-turned-trio released their follow-up album Lifeblood in 2013. With the departure of founding member and bassist Aric “Chef” Wright in 2015, the band took a brief hiatus until reforming as a quintet in 2016 and subsequently releasing This Is Death Metal in 2017. The acoustic-driven introspective “Out of Reach” was released in 2018 with the funk-inspired “Mr. Peanut” following in 2019. The latest studio album Systematic Paralysis was released 4/22/22.
A GOOD ROGERING is:

CURRENT BANDS:
RUNESCARRED (Guitar, Keys) A progressively charged thrash metal quartet born from the ashes of Austin metal staples, Dead Earth Politics. After touring with DEP in the spring of 2017 it was clear the band was in disarray, and in 2018 guitarist Tim Driscoll and Vocalist Ven Scott decided to form Runescarred with a fresh face and roster. The full-length debut album was released in February 2020 to much acclaim following the 2018 ‘We Are’ EP and two 2019 singles. An extension 6 song EP ‘Acoustrements’ was released September 2021. Full of acoustic guitars, piano, and various percussion, the EP reimagines a few previous recordings as well as offering new material and a cover of Elton John’s Madman Across the Water. STORE
INVINCIBLE CZARS (Piano, Keys, Bass, Vocals) An eclectic and ever-evolving silent film accompaniment group born from a Zappa and Bungle school of eccentric musicians. For more than a decade head Czar Josh Robins has led the band as a renowned touring act performing original scores to silent films at theaters and art houses across the U.S. and Canada, but due to tour cancellations the Czars shifted focus in 2020 by launching an updated website along with a patreon page and began recording remotely. The band has since released new music including a full original score for the classic 1920 landmark film, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, and covers of of ZZ Top’s ‘La Grange’ and Vince Guaraldi’s ‘Christmas Time Is Here’. A new 4 song Czarified tribute to Van Halen is was released on 10/6/21 in honor of the 1 year passing of EVH, and in the fall of 2023 the band returned to the stage for a 2 month North American tour supporting their update score for the classic horror film ‘Nosferatu’ as a celebration of that film’s 100 year anniversary.
